As if the National Football Conference Championship Game is not exciting enough, the 49ers are heading on the road to take on a bitter rival, the Seattle Seahawks. That’s right, tensions will be high as these two franchises will face-off for the third time this season. Both teams are 1-1 against each other this year and the tie-breaker will be held this Sunday.
“I feel like our team is ready, excited, prepared to go play this game,” coach Jim Harbaugh said. “Unless I drastically misread our team, they’re ready to play.”
Prepared is exactly what the 49ers better be when playing in the loudest stadium in all of the NFL, Century Link Field. Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has lost just one time in his two years at home. The 12th man in Seattle will be extra loud as they are hosting their first NFC Championship since 2006.
In preparations of getting ready for the crowd, the 49ers have been practicing with loud music blaring. “Whether it helps or not, I guess we’ll find out,” quarterback Colin Kaepernick said.
The 49ers are now heading to Seattle on Friday to give the team time to rest on Saturday. The 49ers’ game against the Seahawks will be held at 6:30 PM Eatern time.
