“West Coast Killers” dead for now

Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reports after the Buccaneers’ 21-0 thrashing at Candlestick last season, the club’s head coach Raheem Morris proclaimed his team, “The West Coast Killers,” a label he re-used this week as his team prepped for another visit to the left coast.

The remarks arrived in the Bay Area and were put to good use for bulletin-board material.

“It came up a little bit,” said 49ers safety Dashon Goldson. “They called themselves the West Coast Killers, they came into our home, and we had to defend our turf (against) the West Coast Killers.

Too bad the self-proclaimed “West Coast Killers” forgot to show up on Sunday at Candlestick.
