Niners Hire Greg Jackson as Assistant Secondary Coach

The 49ers announced the hiring of assistant secondary coach Greg Jackson. Jackson played safety for 12 seasons in the NFL, beginning as a third-round pick by the New York Giants in 1989 and continuing with the Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints, and San Diego Chargers, where he played with 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh. In 168 NFL games, Jackson had 32 interceptions, two he returned for touchdowns, and four quarterback sacks. Jackson has spent the last eight years in the college coaching ranks, most recently with the University of Wisconsin.
