New Coach Harbaugh Thinks Niners Can Win With Alex Smith

Eric Branch of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh was interviewe Friday with Grant Napear on Sports 1140 AM in Sacramento and was asked about quarterback Alex Smith.

“So excited, yeah, I’m going to say it, I’ve been studying Alex Smith and watching him and I believe that Alex Smith can be a winning quarterback in the National Football League,” Harbaugh said. “I’m excited to work with him, get to know him.”

Harbaugh added, “Very accurate passer. Very athletic. And a guy that has played and been durable.”

  2. Coach Harbaugh would already be making his first mistake on trying to resign Alex Smith.I don’t know of any other NFL team that has rode a bandwagon on such a losing QB such as Alex SMith. No more Alex Smith 6 years is way too much time and there are no more excuses it is time for the 49ers to move on so they can win again.
