Upcoming 13-game Forecast: Red & Gold, and lots of it

49ers offensive forecast: A major chance for an abundance of Frank Gore.

So the 49ers are 0-3.  I had them at 11-5.  I’m not backing down.  The defense is still stingy despite what happened against Kansas City.  The offense has the playmakers, and they got the “rat” out.  Two defeats on the road against winnable opponents, humiliating to say the least.  31-6 against a division rival, 31-10 (31-3 until last play of game) against a team (well, I had them contending this year) that was expected by many experts to contend next season at the very earliest.  You get trounced by two teams that are rebuilding mode.  Now you look like the team that’s rebuilding, not contending for a division title.  Amidst all the hoopla, hype, and hysteria -there’s still 13 games left to redeem yourselves.  These three unforgettable games can be all but forgotten if you play the way you are supposed to, way that was expected.  I still have high aspirations for my 49ers.  Down, but not out.  Fallen, yet not forsaken.  I’m still on board the “Singletary Ship”.

So how are they going to turn it around?  By starting this week in practice.  Get back to basics.  Run the football, attack the ballcarrier.  As simple as that.  The 49ers have been beaten at “their game”.  The Chiefs took it to ’em.  They ran all over ’em at will.  Frank Gore had nowhere to run.  I have nowhere to hide, in fact, I will be an open target for all incoming bashers of the Red & Gold.  Starting this Sunday I’m fearlessly predicting the 49ers forecast.  Let’s take a look at the remainder of the schedule.  Bold counts for wins, no bold counts for losses. Remember how the Titans turned around their season last year?  I’m expecting more the same from these Niners.

Sunday: @ Atlanta Falcons (0-4)

Week 5: vs. Philadelphia Eagles, Sunday night (1-4)

Week 6: vs. Oakland Raiders (2-4)

Week 7: @ Carolina Panthers (3-4) 1st road victory, “signature” victory, team really starts to believe turnaround.

Week 8: vs. Denver Broncos (4-4)

BYE WEEK

Week 10: vs. St. Louis (5-4)

Week 11: vs. Tampa Bay (6-4)

Week 12: @ Arizona, Monday night (6-5)

Week 13: @ Green Bay (7-5) ***Best performance of 2010*** 1st legit road win.

Week 14: vs. Seattle (8-5) Payback in store.  Revenge in order.  Mission accomplished.

Week 15: @ San Diego (8-6)

Week 16: @ St. Louis (9-6) Come from behind W.

Week 17: vs. Arizona – 10-6, NFC West Champions.

In conclusion, the keys to NFC West are in the hands of Frank Gore.  He needs to be unleashed.  It all starts and finishes with him. If he stays healthy, and new OC Mike Johnson feeds him the rock, he will take the 49ers beyond the Regular Season past the first weekend of January.  He will take them through the next 13 games en route to a 10-3 record.  If Frank Gore plays like he did against New Orleans and the Niners duplicate that same game plan, the sky is the limit.  Bold Prediction: Frank Gore will finish Top 5 in MVP voting. He will have a Chris Johnson-like effect”. The rest of the season’s forecast: Sunny, promising, with a call for an outpouring of Frank Gore.
