Rototimes says via CSN Bay Area that there is no doubt that Ted Ginn Jr. has wrapped up the #3 spot at wide out for the Niners:
According to Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area, Ted Ginn has “locked up” the 49ers No. 3 receiver spot. Ginn will likely be the split end in three-receiver sets, with Michael Crabtree working the slot and Josh Morgan set at flanker. The 49ers think Ginn’s speed can influence opposing safeties in ways that benefit their other receiving threats, including Pro Bowl tight end Vernon Davis. The team isn’t expecting Ginn to carry its offense or even fulfill the expectations Miami once had for him as a first-round draft choice.
