Niners draft history- 1999

With the 24th pick in the 1999 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers selected Reggie McGrew, defensive tackle, out of the University of Florida. The 6-foot-1, 310-pound McGrew played three seasons in the NFL; two with the 49ers, and his last with the Atlanta Falcons. In those three seasons, he had a total of 1 sack and 9 tackles. This was the fourth straight first round pick that ended up being a bust, or simply could not live up to expectations for the 49ers.
