Niners Draft History – 1953

Harry Babcock was drafted with the 1st overall pick as an “End” from the University of Georgia, by the San Francisco 49ers. Babcock standing at 6’2”, and weighing in at 193 pounds had an extremely short career. He played for the 49ers in 1953, 1954, and 1955, and his career totals were 16 receptions for 181 yards and no touchdowns with 1 fumble in 30 games.

I could not find out if his career was cut short by an injury. If not, I think it is completely safe to say that Harry Babcock was a bust. However, below is a picture I found of Babcock.
