The 49ers have signed free-agent Shane Andrus this evening to handle the kicking chores Sunday in the team’s season finale against the St. Louis Rams. Andrus joined the 49ers in St. Louis on Friday as a replacement for Ricky Schmitt (groin strain), who was a replacement for Joe Nedney (hamstring strain). The 49ers placed Schmitt on injured reserve/minor to make room on the 53-man roster for Andrus.
