49’ers Week Five Preview and Pick

Could be the game of the day out in SF, these two teams match up well. The Falcons have yet to get Michael Turner going, and Matt Ryan could find problems throwing against a much improved 49e’rs D. The Niners will go again with Glenn Coffee at RB as Frank Gore is out. Shaun Hill’s play is the key here, and so far, he looks like a guy that can lead the Niners to the playoffs.

Hill’s looked like just what the Niners need, a guy that can make plays and that doesn’t put the team in bad positions with trying to force the ball. The Falcons will test him here, and he’s got to look for TE Vernon Davis as well as go down the field a bit as well.

SF has played well at home, and I think it continues here, as their defense lays a beat down on Matt Ryan and the birds.

While I agree that SF is playing well, particularly the defense, I’m just not sure the secondary will be able to shut down Matt Ryan. I do think the 49ers win against the Falcons at home, but don’t underestimate Atlanta’s offense. This is a dangerous team.
