OT Damane Duckett Not Expected to Return in 2009

ProFootballTalk.com is reporting that the Niners are not expected to bring back free agent offensive tackle Damane Duckett. The report, which came from Matt Maiocco of the Santa Rosa Press-Democrat, says that as a restricted free agent, Duckett wasn’t extended a qualifying offer from 49ers management prior to the free agent signing period, which makes him an unrestricted free agent. Duckett spent last season on injured reserve due to knee cartilage problems.

Well, that was fun while it lasted. Ironically, moved him from DL to OL because he has some strange allergy to DL who are over 6′ 3″.
