Niners Free Agent news

San Francisco Chronicle’s Niner Insider Kevin Lynch and ESPN Hashmark’s Matt Mosley have reported on Friday that the 49ers have inked ex-Vikings linebacker Dontarrious Thomas to a two-year contract. Additionally, Lynch has reported that the 49ers and ex-Lions quarterback J.T. O’Sullivan have agreed to a one-year contract, perhaps signaling the impending retirement of incumbent quarterback Trent Dilfer.

Lynch also reported that kick returner/”defensive back” Allen Rossum received a one-year, $870,000 contract from the 49ers, as reported by ESPN. DeShaun Foster, according to ESPN, will sign a two-year, $1.8 million pact.

Cornerback Donald Strickland told Lynch in an email that he has been offered “something” from the 49ers, but that he would wait for better offers from other teams.

More news on the Thomas and O’Sullivan situations soon.
