Could Banta-Cain Be on the Streets This Offseason?

While outside linebacker Tully Banta-Cain played most of the 2007 season suffering from a foot injury, it does not appear that it will change the mind of the 49′ers when it comes to the possibility of releasing him.  Today’s San Fran Chronicle is reporting that the Niners may cut Banta-Cain this offseason, partly in due to the fact he only had 3.5 sacks this season.  The Chronicle states that Banta-Cain may go down as the latest 49′ers free agent bust.
