Niners and Martz to Sit Down Today over Coordinator Spot

As reported here late Friday, former Rams coach and Lions offensive coordinator Mike Martz will sit down with the 49′ers today about joining Mike Nolan’s staff. Martz was fired from the Lions last week after the teams offense collapsed down the stretch. He was the Lions offensive coordinator for the last two seasons. He is the second person to interview for the open position, as the team has already talked to former Cowboys coach Chan Gailey, who was at one time the offensive coordinator in Pittsburgh. Another coach on the list to be spoken to is former Dolphins coach Cam Cameron, who was fired by the team after a 1-15 season late last week.
