As expected, Chris Weinke will get the start tomorrow in Cleveland, taking the spot of Shaun Hill, who was 2-0 as a starter but is hurt with a back injury and finger injury. He will be the 9’ers 4th starting QB this season, and the first start for Weinke since he started last seasons week 16 contest for the Panthers then they took on the Falcons. He led them to a 10-3 win that day. “I’m excited,” Weinke said. “I feel like I got more comfortable as the week went on. Obviously, it helps with the more reps you take and I think the coaches did a great job of putting together a game plan that I feel comfortable with.” He took one snap last week after Hill got hurt. In his career, Weinke has completed 373-of-687 passes for 3,800 yards with 14 touchdowns and 26 interceptions – all with the Panthers.
