Coach Says Offense Unchanged With Hill

He gave his team Sunday off and will do the same today but head coach Mike Nolan still had some obligations yesterday– Monday’s press conference. Talking about Saturday’s 20-13 win at home against Cincinnati, Nolan said “The difference in the game was that all three phases played well from start to finish. In the game, we only had three penalties, there were zero turnovers and our third down efficiency on both sides of the ball was very good.” Asked whether he’s changed the offensive philosophy with Shaun Hill at quarterback, Nolan said “No…  the offense is already built that way. No different with Trent [[Dilfer]] or with Alex [[Smith]].” But Nolan did give a slight hint about possible changes, saying “You gear some of your play-calling more directed to the players.” The 49ers host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday afternoon.
