The 49’ers will get their first look at running back-sensation Adrian Peterson this Sunday afternoon as they play host to the Minnesota Vikings. The 49ers come into this NFC clash at 3-and-9, having dropped a 31-14 decision last weekend on the road against the Carolina Panthers. The Vikings are 6-and-6, having won their past three games, including last Sunday’s 42-10 win at home against the Detroit Lions. San Francisco will have it’s hands full trying to contain Peterson, who’s leading the league with 1,197 rushing yards in just 184 carries. The rookie running back set the single-game rushing mark with 296 yards in a Week 9 victory against San Diego. The 49ers won the previous meeting with the Vikings, 9-3, last season in San Francisco while the all-time series is even at 18 wins apiece with one game ending in a tie. Kickoff from Monster Park is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. and the game will be televised locally on FOX 2 [[ KTVU ]].
