Niners Look for Second Straight Win Sunday vs Panthers

The 49′ers take to the road for the second straight weekend for a matchup in Charlotte against the Carolina Panthers. The Niners are coming off a dramatic 37-31 overtime victory last Sunday in Arizona against the Cardinals. The victory snapped San Francisco’s eight-game losing streak as the 49ers improved to 3-and-8 on the season. Meanwhile, the Panthers are reeling. After dropping their fifth straight decision in a 31-6 loss at home against the New Orleans Saints, Carolina fell to 4-and-7. Once one of the toughest venues for an opponent to play at, the Panthers will try to snap a seven-game losing skid at home this Sunday. Carolina won the previous meeting with the 49ers, 37-27, during the 2003 season and leads the all-time series, 8-7. Kickoff from Bank of America Stadium is set for 10 a.m. Pacific time and the game will be televised locally on FOX 2 [[ KTVU ]].
