Hawks Dominate 49’ers 23-3 at Monster Park

Jeff Ulbrich (53) sits on the bench late in the fourth quarter

Matt Hasselbeck went 23-of-31 passing for 282 yards and two touchdowns to help lead the Seattle Seahawks past the 49’ers, 23-3, at Monster Park.  Deion Branch caught seven passes for 130 yards while Shaun Alexander added 78 yards on the ground for the Seahawks, who improved to 3-and-1 on the season.  Filling in for an injured Alex Smith, Trent Dilfer completed 12 of 33 passes for 128 yards while Frank Gore ran 16 times for 79 yards as the 49ers dropped to 2-and-2.  Dilfer was forced into action after Smith went down with a shoulder injury after being sacked by Rocky Bernard on San Francisco’s first drive of the game.  His status for Sunday’s game against Baltimore remains uncertain. Joe Nedney’s 43-yard field goal late in the third quarter helped San Francisco avoid the shutout.  The 49ers play host to the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday afternoon.
