Tough Road Test Coming up for 49’ers

The 49’ers face another tough road-test this Sunday with a non-conference matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.  The Niners come into the “Steel City” 2-and-0 on the season after a dramatic 17-16 victory against the Rams in St. Louis.  The Steelers are 2-and-0 after last Sunday’s 26-3 win at home against the Buffalo Bills.  While Mike Nolan is facing Pittsburgh for the first time as an NFL head coach, he’s quite familiar with the Steelers.  Nolan faced Pittsburgh twice per year while on the Baltimore Ravens coaching staff from 2001 to 2004.  The 49ers won the previous meeting with Pittsburgh, 30-14, during the 2003 season at Monster Park.  Kickoff from Heinz Field is scheduled for 10 a.m. Pacific time and the game will be televised locally on KTVU-TV.
