The 49’ers yesterday waived injured cornerback B.J. Tucker, who in June suffered a season-ending torn pec muscle. Tucker will likely clear waivers Monday afternoon, and then the team will place him on injured reserve. The move is considered a formality to clear a spot on the 80-man roster prior to the start of training camp. Right now the team has 4 roster spots open, and will be down to three after the team signed OLB Mark Washington, who went undrafted in the supplemental draft and will replace Tucker on the roster. Washington has already agreed to a two-year contract with the 49ers and is expected to sign the deal next week. Tucker has played in 10 games over the past two seasons after not playing a game back in 2003 when he was with the Steelers. Last season he played in 4 games, and had one passed defensed.
